It’s called Super for a reason. Not only are a pair of pre-booked Grandstand and Paddock tickets just £15 but there’s prize money on offer in excess of £100,000 which means the stage is set for some really super racing. Why not make it a hat-trick of a weekend – with home matches for the chiefs and Exeter city why not finish off your weekend of sport with us and make it a hat-trick of a weekend at Exeter Racecourse
The feature race is a Veteran’s Chase worth £30,000 when some real favourites are sure to be in action. There’s also a Pertemps qualifier, a Listed novices' hurdle and a three-mile graduation chase, each worth £20,000. The action will be fantastic and a day when we really appreciate the magnificence of equine athletes.
The meeting has proved a stepping-stone in the past for some of racing’s brightest stars, not least Harry Fry’s hero Unowhatimeanharry who won the 2015 Pertemps qualifier and went on to taste victory in the Albert Bartlett Novices ‘Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival the same season. Last season we saw Finian’s Oscar win the 188BET Listed novices’ hurdle race before winning a Grade 1 at Aintree, just like Tea For Two who won the 188BET Graduation Chase at Exeter before the Grade 1 3m chase at the same meeting.
In 2015 Randox Health Grand National victor, Many Clouds, galloped home to a three-quarters of a length success in the 2m3f novices’ hurdle and on the same card Native River also won in fine style only enhancing the day further as a day to see some future superstars.
