Alcohol, Food & Drug Policy
Exeter Racecourse

PLEASE FOLLOW A FEW SIMPLE GUIDELINES TO HELP YOU ENJOY YOUR DAY WITH US.

Security bag searches are in place on racedays and no food or drink is allowed within the venue. Should you need to bring in food for a medical requirement then please do get in touch with us directly by contacting the racecourse reception on exeter@thejockeyclub.co.uk.

ALCOHOL

Please kindly note that bringing your own alcoholic drink on site is strictly prohibited. Exeter operates a responsible drinking policy and all staff are trained to the highest standards.

Please respect our neighbours when leaving the racecourse. No alcohol is to be taken off-site.

FOOD

You may not take any food, drink, glass bottles or glasses onto any part of the Racecourse unless this is expressly permitted in advance in writing. Anyone with special dietary requirements is advised to contact the racecourse beforehand to arrange a special dispensation on the ruling, which is able to be evidenced by an exchange of emails to exeter@thejockeyclub.co.uk.

DRUGS

Exeter Racecourse does not condone the use of or dealing in drugs on site. We employ drug detection dogs at all our entrances on racedays and selected events.

Drug enforcement laws are as applicable on this site as they are anywhere else in the country and any infringements of these laws will be taken very seriously. Our policy on drugs is based on both prevention and enforcement with the active targeting of those customers seeking to deal drugs to others.

Please note, bags under a4 size (40cm x 30cm x30xm) are permitted to be brought into the enclosures and these could be searched on arrival.
